Hudson for Northern Victoria

Hudson for Northern Victoria Would you like to see your region of Northern Victoria given more attention at the State Government level?

Do you believe you could be better represented in the Victorian Parliament? Hudson for Northern Victoria is your sensible alternative.

Hudson 4 NV was set up in Northern Victoria to serve Northern Victoria. We are a community-based minor party that wants to fight for big ticket infrastructure, health and education services for Northern Victoria. The advantages of voting for Hudson 4 NV are:
- We are never in opposition and are able to get things done no matter which party is in power
- 6 of the 11 lower house seats in Northern Victoria are set to be won by the Liberal/National parties and Labor is expected to win the election, according to the polls, meaning most of our Lower House seats will be in opposition and unable to be effective for the next 4 years.

LETS KEEP THEM HONEST, GET IN THE MIDDLE AND ENSURE WE GET OUR FAIR SHARE!

I have just finished a solo tour of the district and thank-you to everyone I spoke to regarding issues affecting the area. I visited , & and spoke to locals and Mildura Hospital Conversation, Ali Cupper Independent and Steve Timmis Independent Candidate about the issues affecting the area. Although the issues are very similar to other regions in , they are more profound. While other regions are, quite rightly, demanding comfortable, safe and reliable passenger rail services, Mildura hasn't got one at all after Kennett shut it down in 1993. Mildura has a privately managed public hospital that is for-profit and essentially the community is crying out to be in public hands completely to ensure quality of service and that it adheres to the standards of all public hospitals in the State.

Other issues raised where the impact of council rates on residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural land, lack of Broadband and phone reception in outlying towns, crumbling roads, lack of accommodation or rental housing in isolated areas such as Robinvale, and also the lack of services for those with acute mental health issues and drug and alcohol issues right across Sunraysia. All I spoke to felt the region has been ignored on most fronts.

This area has been neglected by the major parties for far too long and they only consider helping the regions when they are under pressure, we need to keep pressure on the Government after the election and the only way to do that is elect community-minded independents whose sole concern is the progress of the district and advocating on behalf of people, not big party donors. For the region of Northern Victoria in the Upper House, consider voting for Hudson for Northern Victoria so we can get our fair share and contribute positively to our region!

Thanks especially to Neil Waugh, Noel & Michael from Mildura Hospital Conversation and the Sortino family at Pinnos Pizza Mildura for meeting with me!

Met with Noel and Michael today from Mildura Hospital Conversation and explained why could agitate for change effectively in the Upper House of Victorian Parliament and get Mildura Hospital back in complete public hands. A big thanks to Noel and Michael for giving me their time. People before profit!

JOSH HUDSON our upper house candidate. Josh is very supportive of getting our hospital back to to being community run.
Privatization of public hospitals does not work.

welcomes any announcement to boost health services in regional Victoria. we saw today in Maryborough that Labor pledged $100 million for a hospital upgrade which was quickly matched by the Liberal/National Coalition. This is due to the seat of Ripon being a marginal seat (held by 0.8% by the Coalition). We would like to remind both sides that we are awaiting similar commitments around health services from one or both of them in , , , (Stage 2), and many more. These promises are made when the big parties are under pressure to win an election, there is no requirement in law for them to keep it, therefore the pressure must be maintained after the election. As a community-based minor party, can maintain the pressure on the big parties in Parliament 100% of the time as our party was formed in for Northern Victorians, lets get our fair share!
