Today is National Sorry Day. It marks the anniversary of the first Sorry Day, held in 1998 – a year after the 'Bringing Them Home' report was tabled in Parliament, a report which acknowledges the forced removal of First Nations peoples from their families.

Today we acknowledge the strength of the Stolen Generations.

It's devastating that 26 years on successive Governments have still failed to implement the recommendations of the 'Bringing them Home' report in full, and kids are being removed from their families and communities at a faster rate than ever before.

Shame.

I’ll be out all day tomorrow at polling booths (Halls Gap, Concongella, Stawell, and possibly Horsham) but for now it’s time for a bevvy, a delicious pre-election dinner, and definitely a shave 🪒
