Final Splash Countdown is ON.

The outdoor pool season is coming to an end, with the last day of swimming this Sunday, 29 March.

If you’ve been meaning to get down for a swim, this is your last chance to make it happen.

Grab the family, bring your mates, and get in one more session before we close the gates for the season.

Due to the unavailability of staff the Merbein Pool will be closed today (20th March) and re-open tomorrow for a lovely weekend of swimming ahead.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Feel free to swing past any of our other facilities at Mildura Waves, Irymple of Red Cliffs to cool off.

Due to the severe weather over the past few days, our outdoor sites have experienced significant general mess and some water damage.
As a result, we have made the decision not to open our Merbein, Red Cliffs, and Ouyen sites today. This will allow our staff time to focus on site clean-up and the presentation of our pools and surrounding areas to ensure they are safe and ready for use.
We are aiming to reopen tomorrow during our regular operating hours.

🚫 CLOSING EARLY - Sunday 1 March 🚫

🌧️🏊‍♂️ We were ready… but the rain won today!

Our team had the pool open right on time this morning but it seems everyone else wisely stayed warm and dry, as we've had just the one visitor! With more wet (and wild) weather forecast this afternoon, we’ll be closing early today ahead of the worst of it.

We’ll be back and ready to go again tomorrow (hopefully with some sunshine ☀️). Stay safe and dry everyone 💙

🌧️💦 Rain, rain… still here!

With today’s wet weather expected to continue overnight, our team may need a little extra time in the morning (Sunday) to get the pools ready and safe for opening.

CLOSING EARLY - 23 February 2026

We are very sorry to share that the pool will be closing at 4pm this afternoon due to changes in staff availability, and after exhausting every option for getting the shifts covered.

Merbein Pool – Community Update

Please note that on Friday 20th, the pool will be closed to the general public until 3:00 pm due to a private event.

We also want to let everyone know that from the 2nd of March to the 6th of March, the pool will be busier than usual between 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm as we have a scheduled program running in the facility. The pool will still be open to the public from 1:00 pm, though some areas may be in use during this time.
