Skills, smiles and slam dunks! Thanks to the Sporting Schools Grant, our students have had the fantastic opportunity to work with Jake Black from Cairns Basketball Inc. over the past two weeks.
With Jake's expert coaching, our students have been sharpening their basketball skills while building confidence, teamwork and a love of the game. A huge thank you, Jake, for inspiring our young athletes and making every session so much fun! 🏀

The Camp Quality livestream interactive puppet show gave us a wonderful opportunity to learn more about cancer and how to talk about it with children. It helped build understanding and empathy, while highlighting the importance of supporting children and families who may be navigating a cancer journey.

Sweetie the Swamp Wallaby is getting ready for a big surprise—her joey is about to emerge from her pouch. Luckily, she has her friends Edna the Echidna and Maggie the Magpie to help her prepare. Come join the animals of the forest to get ready for The Party! The Party is a whimsical introduction to the world of theatre. This show has gentle and playful interactions with multiple sensory elements, props and puppets.
Running Time: 40 minutes
Age group: 18months to 5 years.
Cost: $10 per person

"Stark Raven Mad" is dark and funny, but also delightful and a bit absurd. It takes the audience through a poetical journey bringing to life gothic poems using puppets, costumes, movement, and music. Poetry from Edgar Allan Poe, Heinrich Hoffmann, Hilaire Beloc, Lewis Carroll, Emily Dickinson, and more!
Running Time: 60 minutes
Age group: 6+ (but adolescents & adults will love it, too!)

Team Challenge Friday

Every Friday afternoon, Ms Murray leads team challenges that encourage our students to work together to solve a problem. These activities develop important skills such as planning, collaboration, communication, and listening to one another's ideas.

Today's challenge was to design and build a paper bridge strong enough to hold multiple weights. Students worked creatively and cooperatively, testing their designs and refining their ideas along the way.
It was wonderful to see such teamwork, perseverance, and problem-solving in action. All great traits of strong citizenship. ⭐️
