Improving training outcomes, redesigning milestone activities and collecting recruit swim-test data earned Chief Petty Officer Physical Trainer (CPOPT) Michelle Bush a Conspicuous Service Medal (CSM) announced in the 2026 Kings Birthday Honours.

The citation reads:
Chief Petty Officer Bush significantly contributed to 's initial entry recruit training. Her comprehensive analysis of injury and fitness data informed Recruiting policy, while her restructure of milestone activities enhanced training safety and effectiveness. Her leadership, professionalism and commitment to the development of recruits and instructors has directly supported the generation of a resilient and operationally prepared workforce.
