During National Volunteer Week, we took the opportunity to recognise and thank the incredible volunteers who support Council programs and services right across our community.

From helping people build confidence through English Conversation Groups, to supporting young people, connecting with older residents, volunteering in Men’s Sheds and assisting community members to attend appointments, our volunteers play a vital role every day.

They help reduce social isolation, improve health and wellbeing, and create welcoming spaces in our neighbourhood houses and community centres. Every contribution makes a real and lasting difference.
When people volunteer, communities thrive. Their generosity strengthens connections and changes lives, for both those receiving support and those giving their time.
To every volunteer in our community, thank you.
