lrose the oldest town in the Flinders Ranges situated at the foothills of the impressive Mount Remarkable. The scenic Wirrabara Forest, historic town of Wilmington with Alligator Gorge only a short drive away and Booleroo Centre our service hub, all make for a truly remarkable experience. The Council office is open from 9.00 am – 4.30pm and closed for lunch between 12pm - 1pm Monday to Friday (phones still open until 5pm) You'll find us next to the Town Hall in Melrose. The District Council of Mount Remarkable acknowledges that the internet as a communication tool doesn’t uphold regular business hours and we welcome your posts at any time. AUSTRALIA POST COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM

Connection matters. That’s why the Australia Post Community Grants program is accepting applications from not-for-profit organisations that help locals connect and stay mentally well.

Grants of up to $10,000 each are available for eligible not-for-profit organisations across Australia, with up to an additional $250,000 in grants allocated for projects supporting mental wellbeing in disaster-impacted areas.
