๐Ÿฅณ 93 and 94 gone for good!

๐Ÿ‘ A major milestone for Melbourne's west today with the removal of another 2 level crossings in Melton and the new Melton Station open to passengers.

๐Ÿš Trains are now running on new rail bridges over Exford and Coburns roads, making Melton level crossing free.

๐Ÿ‘ท The elevated station opened this morning and services returned to the Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines following a 3 week construction blitz.

๐Ÿ›— Finishing works continue around the station precinct, including more than 670 native trees and 180,000 native plants, shrubs and grasses being planted.

๐ŸŽจ Crews are putting the finishing touches on the underpass walls and completing works on nearby roads ahead of next monthโ€™s opening.

๐ŸŽจ A burst of colour for Dandenong.

๐ŸŒˆ The new road underpass being built to connect Princes Highway-Lonsdale Street with Cheltenham and Hammond roads has been painted in a bold colour scheme inspired by Dandenong's vibrant and diverse character.

๐Ÿš— Built as part of the Webster Street level crossing removal, the underpass will open to traffic in September. Thank you to the Dandenong community as we get on with these important works.

Big news for Melton! ๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ

The boom gates at Exford and Coburns roads have been dismantled as part of a 24/7 construction blitz to finish track works, lower Exford Road under the new rail bridge and prepare the new Melton Station for opening.

Buses continue to replace trains on sections of the Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines until Tuesday 1 September, when passengers will be able to use the modern new Melton Station.

Exford Road remains closed to vehicles at the level crossing until 7am, Monday 31 August.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Bye bye, Ferris Road boom gates!

๐Ÿฅณ With traffic now flowing over the new Ferris Road bridge, our crews removed the boom gates and redundant rail infrastructure at Ferris Road during a recent period while trains werenโ€™t running on the Ballarat Line.

๐Ÿ‘ท Works are now underway to remove the level crossings at Coburns and Exford roads, with the new Melton Station set to open on Tuesday 1 September.
