Liberal Pride is the LGBTIQ+ (and allies) Branch of the Liberal Party of Australia (Victorian Division) with approximately a hundred and fifty members making it one of the fastest growing branches across the state including numerous Liberal State and Federal Members of Parliament. The Liberal Party has a proud history of LGBTIQ+ policies and Liberal Pride continues to advocate for the community.

Today is Wear It Purple Day 💜🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

This year's theme, "Colours of Courage" celebrates the many different forms of courage by LGBTQIA+ young people, allies, and strong communities every day.

What does courage look like? Speaking up, standing out and creating change. It also includes being yourself and asking for support.

As Liberals, we champion individualism and celebrate equality.

A new report by Equality Australia shines a light on the fact inters*x people - who have naturally occurring innate variations in their bodies that mean they are not typically male or female - are subjected to harmful and unnecessary interventions including hormone injections and s*x reassignment procedures when they are too young to consent.
