Homes for up to 50 key workers are shaping up nicely in Ararat 🏠🏠🏠

Located in Alluvial Estate and just a stone's throw from major employers, businesses and recreation spots, the homes will help bring more workers to Ararat – supporting local employers and the economy.

It’s another project being delivered under our Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, which has unlocked around $300 million in housing investment for thousands of regional workers.

The future is looking bright for Point Grey!

Check out progress on this $12 million project to revitalise the much-loved spot in Lorne 🏖️

The redevelopment includes:

• new Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club building with outdoor area and fish-cleaning facility 🎣
• new co-op building with a cafe, and displays for the Lorne Historical Society ☕
• better paths, parking and public toilets 🚶

With around seven million visitors to the Great Ocean Road region each year, the Point Grey Redevelopment is another investment in the future of the region’s important visitor economy.

It’s all part of an Australian and Victorian government partnership to unlock the potential of the region.

Shepparton’s new worker accommodation looks like a great place to hang your hat 👇

33 new apartments have been constructed to help Goulburn Valley Health attract and retain more healthcare workers – boosting services and making the city an even better place to live and work.

Located next to the hospital, the projects were made possible by the Regional Worker Accommodation Fund and the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund.

Have a look at these modular units under construction for key workers in Dunkeld! 👷

They will soon be available for hospitality, tourism and agriculture workers at Dunkeld Pastoral Co, including staff at Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld.

Each unit is manufactured by regional business The Quarters Co in Hesse near Geelong, backing the local manufacturing supply chain.

We’re supporting this project through our Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, which has activated more than $300 million in private investment to build worker housing.

Paynesville’s new Slip Road Maritime Precinct is looking ship-shape and ready to go! ⛵

We’ve partnered with East Gippsland Shire Council and AusGov Infrastructure to develop this precinct, which will provide a boost to local businesses, draw more visitors to the region and support east Gippsland’s maritime industries.

Upgrades are now complete at the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium in Traralgon. ✅

Across the 3 lead contractors and design teams, more than 50 direct jobs were supported and an extra 66 businesses engaged. A large portion of materials were also sourced locally.

The stadium now boasts:
• upgraded foyer
• upgraded lighting across the venue including the show court
• new broadcasting facilities
• new and refurbished amenities and changerooms, including for referees
• storage facilities
• automated blinds and external roller shutters
• solar panels, batteries and more.

Wonthaggi’s new worker accommodation build is looking better by the day! 🏠

The town will soon welcome more healthcare workers, with the new accommodation at Bayside Health Regional nearing completion.

The two-storey building will offer 20 self-contained units for a range of staff, strengthening service delivery on the Bass Coast.

It’s one of nearly 50 projects supported by our Regional Worker Accommodation Fund.

Check out these new homes. 🏠

Built for staff at the Kerang District Health, the two and three-bedroom homes will help attract and retain doctors and clinical staff.

It’s one of many projects we’re delivering to support regional health services – including at Kyabram, Robinvale, Benalla, Timboon, Shepparton, Bairnsdale, Colac and Omeo.

That’s a record! 🏆

Victoria’s tourism industry added $40 billion to the state economy in 2024-25.

We’re delivering infrastructure to help unlock more opportunities – including at the Twelve Apostles, where a stunning new visitor precinct is nearing completion.

The precinct will include a world-class visitor experience centre, expanded carparking, a rooftop lookout, restaurant, kiosk, gallery space and expansive native gardens.

With more than 2 million people visiting the Twelve Apostles each year, the new precinct will play a major role in supporting regional businesses, the tourism sector and the state’s important visitor economy.

This project is part of a $676 million partnership between the Australian and Victorian governments, and the City of Greater Geelong, to unlock the economic potential of the region.
