Filipino-Australian Student Council of Victoria

Filipino-Australian Student Council of Victoria FASTCO is a network of Pinoy students and friends in Victoria, Australia. It aims to foster ties among students towards a shared sense of community. b. d. e.

If you are a Filipino international student in Victoria or an Aussie student with Filipino roots, then you can join us in this network. Founded in 2012 by Filipino scholars from various universities, FASTCO is the first statewide Filipino student organisation established in Australia. FASTCO is now operated with an agenda of F.A.S.T.: (1) Fellowship; (2) Advocacy; (3) Services and (4) Thrust that

redounded to the collective good of its stakeholders in the Filipino Australian community. It crafted its visionary framework as engaged, relevant, inclusive and efficient organisation. The Aims and Objectives of the Council are to:

a. Function as the main student hub of all Filipino post-secondary student organizations in Victoria. Promote and maintain friendship, unity, and cooperation among:
- Filipino students of the different campuses
- Other student organisations in Victoria
- The ASEAN Student Council of Australia
- Wider Filipino groups in Victoria
c. Uphold the rights and welfare of the students in Victoria and the respective campuses by:
- Helping new students adjust to their new environment by orienting them to the life in Victoria and to the facilities and services available to the respective campuses and helping them find accommodation and other necessities.
- Assisting students having academic difficulties in the university. Promote Filipino values, tradition, and culture. Perform other functions that the body may deem beneficial to the organisation. WEBSITE: https://www.fastcovic.org/
