Victoria’s community legal centres (CLCs) have collectively launched the sector’s 2026 election campaign, “Community Legal – We’ve Got Your Back”.

CLCs like Seniors Rights Victoria need your help. We're asking our supporters to write their local MPs, asking for all political parties to invest an additional $120 million over the next term of parliament to help give more Victorians the help they need, along with secure five-year funding for existing programs.

COTA Australia are inviting older Australians to sign a petition that adds their voice to fix private health insurance for older Australians. Please take the time to read the petition proposition and if you would like to take action, sign the petition by adding your name.

Many older Australians have paid private health insurance premiums for decades. Now, just as they are more likely to need health care, they face high, unpredictable costs, no assurance their cover is giving them fair value, and a Government proposal to cut the age-based rebate that helps keep their cover affordable.
