This week in our Kinder room, we explored seeds, planting, and how things grow—reading Collecting Sunshine and learning to care gently for our environment. From collecting natural treasures outdoors to creating with playdough and discovering sunflowers, children engaged in hands-on learning, scientific thinking, and creative expression.

Nature Week in our JK Room 🌿✨

Our children immersed themselves in hands-on experiences, creating art with natural materials and exploring activities that engaged their senses—seeing, hearing, smelling, and touching the world around them.

Outdoors, the children participated in a group experience where they were encouraged to explore and document “What can you see, hear, and smell?” Their ideas and discoveries were then recorded by the children in their Floorbook 📖

We also explored a special sensory tea-making experience using herbs, spices, and traditional Chinese botanicals, supporting the children’s curiosity and sensory development in a meaningful and engaging way 🍵🌱

Nature Play Week in our Toddler Room 🌿✨

Our curious learners explored natural playdough with leaves, sticks, and flowers, discovering textures and colours through hands-on creativity. With magnifying glasses in hand, they became little investigators—spotting insects and exploring the tiny details of nature 🐞🔍

We also planted sunflower and vegetable seeds, nurturing early understandings of growth and caring for our environment 🌱💛

Another calm and meaningful week has passed in our Nursery Room as we celebrated Nature Week 2026 with our babies 🍁🪴

Throughout the week, the children explored natural materials such as leaves, soil, and plant-based resources. These hands-on experiences supported early sensory development, allowing our babies to touch, feel, and respond to the different textures and elements around them.

It has been wonderful to see their curiosity grow as they connect with the natural world in such gentle and engaging ways 🌿
