VicScreen is offering financial assistance to eligible Victorian producers and writers with at least one international market-ready television project in development.

Join a delegation of Victorian screen creatives travelling to London to build global connections and showcase the strength of Victoria’s screen industry on the world stage.

Projects do not need a local market attachment, though projects with development funding from a commissioner will be strongly regarded.

Search for the Snowy is an Indigenous-led three-part documentary series following Gamilaroi man Tony Armstrong and Stephen Curry on a 400km journey down the iconic Snowy River, guided by Dabee Wiradjuri man Richard Swain. 🏞️🍃

Travelling through the lands of the Monero/Ngarigo and Gunaikurnai Peoples, the series explores the river's history, culture and connection to Country from a First Nations perspective. 🖤💛❤️

Featuring Victorian producers Anna Charalambous, Nick Batzias and Charlotte Wheaton, and Victorian series producer/writer Rhian Skirving from Good Thing Productions, in co-production with First Person Films and NSW Series Director Daniel King.

Victorian animated Little J and Big Cuz is returning for a fifth season, bringing more heartfelt adventures, laughter and learning to screens across Australia.

Season 5 welcomes back original cast members Miranda Tapsell, Aaron Fa’oaso, Ursula Yovich and Shari Sebbens, alongside Kartanya Manyard as the new voice of Big Cuz. Drawing on stories from First Nations writers across Australia, the award-winning series shares stories of family, friendship, Country and culture. 🖤💛❤️

Produced by Ned Lander Media and co-produced by Ramu Productions, which has led the series' language adaptations since Season 1, Little J & Big Cuz has been translated into 17 First Nations Australian languages and continues to connect young audiences with culture and community.

📺 Season 5 is currently in pre-production and will air on ABC iview and NITV in 2027.

There is one more week to apply for for Originate Comedy, a new development incubator from VicScreen and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. 🎭

Four selected projects will receive expert mentorship, script development support and the chance to transform their comedy concept into a market-ready script.

The program will culminate in a staged reading at the 2027 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, with up to two projects selected for a showcase featuring leading Australian comedy performers and festival headliners.
