Moorabbin Area Toy Library has served families in the area since 1987. We operate as a non-profit community organisation, run predominantly by our members and volunteers. Play enables them to interact and learn about themselves and the world around them. The aim of the toy library is to support families in enhancing their children’s play by supplying membe

rs with the tools for play. The wide range of quality toys, puzzles and games exposes children to a range of play experiences that:
- are age appropriate
- help lay the foundations for a love of learning which lasts a lifetime
- assists them in the achievement of physical and mental development milestones
- inspires their imaginations and encourages creativity. We also have a range of toys suitable for children with special needs and specific age milestones. Come visit us and see how your family can benefit from being members of the toy library! Membership payment can be made by credit card, through our PayPal system, or via cash or cheque.

Learning through play is one of the most powerful approaches to learning. This toy encourages children to test ideas, build language and explore mathematical concepts. Learning is best when it's fun, meaningful and hands- on. Your child may start to compare the weights of their favourite toys, or acorns from the park... all the while using language like 'heavier', 'lighter', 'more than', 'less than', 'up' and 'down'.

📚We are very excited to be adding a new section of toys to the library - Story Time!📚

We are busy putting together these great story boxes, which include a classic story and matching character blocks/toys from the book. Each box also includes a fun game or activity that relates to the book and some ideas on how to use the story box

This is our Dear Zoo Story Box but there are six boxes so far including The Gruffalo, Wombat Stew and Where is the Green Sheep?

🎉🥳🎈Do you have a party or special event coming up and looking for an easy way to keep the kids entertained? A party pack might be just what you need!

We have multiple options for kids of all ages and you can even hire kids table and chairs sets

Hiring is simple - book the pack you want, pick it up on the Wednesday evening before your event and return it the following Wednesday evening. Hire is available for members and non-members
