Tarwirri President Andrew, Secretary Candice, and Executive Officer Tekan were honoured to attend the Solution Focused Justice: A Cross-Jurisdictional Symposium on Gadigal Country on 20–21 February 2026.

Bringing together judicial officers, practitioners, academics and community organisations from across Australia and Aotearoa, the symposium highlighted best practice in trauma-informed, culturally safe and solution-focused courts.

It was a vital gathering, strengthening cross-jurisdictional relationships and reinforcing the importance of justice systems that respond to lived experience, culture and community. Tarwirri is proud to be part of these conversations shaping the future of justice.

Tarwirri members Candice and Niamh proudly represented Tarwirri at the UN International Women's Day Lunch in Naarm on 7 March 2025. The event began with a Welcome to Country delivered by Stacie Piper, a Wurundjeri, Dja Dja Wurrung, and Ngurai Illum-Wurrung woman, followed by inspiring speeches and thought-provoking Q&A sessions with remarkable women. While we recognise that there is still much work to be done to support women, particularly First Nations women in Australia and across the globe, today we reflect on the progress we have made and the milestones we have achieved in advancing gender equality.
