On Wednesday night, two young greyhounds were killed on Victorian racetracks.

💔 Demon Yogi, just 21 months old and in only his fourth race, was killed after suffering fractures to both front legs.

💔 Black Nevera, aged just two years old, won his race at Ballarat before falling after the finish and being killed.

Demon Yogi and Black Nevera are the 97th and 98th greyhounds to suffer leg fractures in Victoria this year. Both were euthanised as a result of their injuries.

In May alone, 18 greyhounds suffered leg fractures. Ten of those dogs are already dead.

How many more greyhounds must suffer before Victoria acts?

Great news - the proposed Mt Alexander puppy farm has officially been pulled.

The application has been withdrawn, saving hundreds (if not thousands) of golden retrievers, corgis and Cavalier King Charles spaniels from a life of being bred for money in sub-par conditions.

This is incredible news, secured thanks to public pressure from all of you.

But we can't stop here. The current "anti puppy-farming" laws allow the Minister for Agriculture to grant an exemption for breeders to keep up to 50 female dogs for breeding at a time.

With over 10 puppy farms operating under this exemption in Victoria, we need to close this loophole for good.

The Allan Government wants to give more power to Victoria's hunting regulator.

We need to stop it. Because we've just exposed their culture of cruelty and cover-ups is worse than ever before:
www.abc.net.au/news/2026-06-03/hunting-watchdog-accused-of-turning-blind-eye-bullying-opponents/106750494

These revelations are deeply concerning, but they're not entirely new.

In 2018, the Game Management Authority was almost closed down after a damning independent investigation into their failures.

They promised to stamp out this behaviour if given a second chance.

They lied.

And when Jacinta Allan gave the green light yet again to duck shooting cruelty, we warned that it wouldn't just make shooters emboldened and think they were untouchable – but the Game Management Authority too.

Now, instead of fixing the problem, the Allan Government wants to entrench it.

The new Outdoor Recreation Victoria Bill 2026 will create a hunting Super Agency, responsible for both promoting *and* regulating hunting.

That's why we need you to email or call your MP to demand that the government immediately abandon this dangerous legislation.

We know that public pressure works – and this moment is the biggest opportunity we will come by in a long time to get duck shooting back on the political agenda.

This moment is the biggest opportunity we come by in a long time to get duck shooting back on the political agenda.

But we need your help to do it.

The Game Management Authority is accused of of turning a blind eye to illegal behaviour by shooters while bullying wildlife rescuers and anti-hunting campaigners.

We always say that we're the hardest-working political party. Here's the proof.

The simple fact is that without Georgie Purcell - Animal Justice Party MP in parliament over the last 4 years, these things wouldn't have happened.

There is no one else dedicated to ending animal cruelty. And there are no other political parties who understand the interconnectedness of Animals, People and Planet like we do.
