Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place

Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place Men's Network-
Provides activities and positive networking opportunities for local Indigenous Men.

The idea for the establishment of the Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place Ltd (MMIGP) began around 1999-2000, when some members of the Indigenous community who reside in the Eastern Metropolitan areas of Melbourne, were meeting socially at BBQ’s in the local parks. The model for the MMIGP became reality in 2005 when a small number of the Indigenous community decided that there was a great nee

d for a place to gather together and run Indigenous cultural activities that would meet the needs of the Indigenous families and community members in the Eastern Metropolitan Region. Some of the programs and services that we deliver to our Indigenous Members are-

Elders Network-
This program provides planned group activities, excursions and opportunities for social interaction. Burrai Playtime-
Aboriginal Playgroup for Aboriginal children in the Eastern Metropolitan Region. AHPACC-
The Aboriginal Health Promotion and Chronic Care Program (AHPACC) is designed to support both The Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and the Community Health Services. Women's Network-
Promotes health and wellbeing and provides social activities for Indigenous Women and their Families. Youth Group-
School Holiday Program, Homework Club, Monthly disco's and other social events for Indigenous youth. Foodbank-
A community controlled Foodbank program distributing fresh produce to the community. In addition to our wonderful volunteers, MMIGP have incredible support and commitment from Fare Share without whom this program would offer only a very limited amount of food. Indigenous Community Links-
This service is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their Families to help you link up with any service you may need, eg medical , educational, computer needs, search for jobs, help with your resume etc. For more information call on (03) 9725 2166 or email [email protected]
