✊Join us as we gather once more on beautiful Dharug and Gundungura lands to stand together and rise against genocide.

We will again be joined by the Katoomba Resistance Choir, sharing their powerful and moving songs.

The brutality unfolding is being witnessed across the world. We stand in solidarity with the brave activists of the Freedom Flotilla, and all those risking their lives to expose injustice. The suffering endured by Palestinians each day is barbaric and evil it cannot be ignored. Our government is complicit in silence! Controlled by Zionist entities refusing to condemn war criminals.

We say NO.
We say RISE.
We say USE YOUR VOICE.
Stand with us. 🇵🇸

Some of M4P had a 4.15 am start today, greeting attendees of a local screening of Eurovision. Some attendees stopped to chat, and learn more about the reason for our picket: Eurovision turns a blind eye to the atrocities Israhell continues to commit - while sanctioning Russia - and even ignores their escalating attempts to rig the voting in their favour. Boycotts work; stay informed, and FREE PALESTINE.

We also welcomed Tamara Asmar, a Palestinian writer and truth-teller, to beautiful Gundungurra and Dharug lands. Tamara shared a deeply moving letter to a newborn Palestinian baby, Ghayth the son of her friend Mahmoud.

Her letter was tender and powerful, a reflection on what it means to enter the world carrying both grief and strength, and a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is still dignity, culture, and an enduring sense of belonging.

Tamara also spoke of her own childhood, recalling attending a rally with her father in Sydney when she was just eight years old. There were only 20 people there. Today, more than 300,000 people have walked across the Harbour Bridge. It was a powerful reminder that small acts of courage and solidarity matter that change often begins quietly, and grows over time through persistence and collective action.
She spoke, too, about the importance of truth of seeking out and protecting reputable sources of information, and questioning the systems that shape the narratives we are told. In a world where misinformation can obscure reality, this call felt more urgent than ever.

Despite the weight of history and the ongoing horrors faced by her people, Tamara still holds onto hope. A belief that one day, Palestine will be free.

Her words were both sobering and inspiring reminder of the power of storytelling, the importance of bearing witness, and the enduring strength of those who continue to resist and imagine a better future. 🇵🇸✊
