Each day, our students collect fresh eggs from our poultry shed. We have 5 young chickens laying eggs. They take them to the canteen and label each with the date of collection.

Call ahead to ensure we have the eggs ready for you in the office.

Our classrooms are now displaying new posters outlining the revised Student code of conduct.

Parents and carers, and students will be asked to acknowledge the Student code of conduct annually to support respectful and positive behaviour.

🐝 Meadow Flat Public School Spelling Bee 🐝

At Meadow Flat Public School, our Spelling Bee is about much more than spelling words correctly. It is about building confidence, encouraging effort, celebrating courage, and supporting every student in having a go.

Students will participate in class-level spelling activities before selected students progress to the school-level final for the Premier’s Spelling Bee. Throughout the process, students will be supported with word lists, practice opportunities and clear routines so they know what to expect.

We understand that not every child finds spelling easy. That is why our focus is on participation, improvement and positive encouragement. Students will be supported to practise, learn from mistakes and celebrate their progress.

Our school captains will help lead the competition, with teachers supporting students and ensuring the process is fair, calm and encouraging.

We are proud to provide opportunities where all students can build confidence, develop new skills and experience the joy of learning.

The NSW Department of Education has revised the Student code of conduct!

This revised Student code of conduct sets clear expectations for student behaviour at school and online, helping us create a safe, positive learning environment.

Full implementation starts Term 1, 2027. Stay tuned for more updates!

All young people from 2 to 17 years of age in NSW are now eligible for the free nasal spray flu vaccine.

Expanding eligibility aims to boost statewide vaccination rates and make it easier for families - especially those with children who dislike needles.

The nasal spray flu vaccine is gentle, painless and available for free for a limited time at GPs, Aboriginal Medical Services and pharmacies.

Influenza (flu) is serious but isn’t as scary if you’re vaccinated. A flu vaccine offers you and your child the best protection from serious illness.

Wednesday 26 August 2026 9:00am to 1:00pm (includes a Book Week Parade at 9:30am, followed by morning tea and a book fair)
Wednesday 14 October 2026: All day (the final visit before Kindergarten transition starts the next week)

Kindergarten transition:
Wednesday 21 October 2026: 9:00am to 11:00am
Wednesday 28 October 2026: 9:00am to 12:00pm
Wednesday 4 November 2026: 9:00am to 1:00pm
Wednesday 11 November 2026: 9:00am to 3:00pm (whole day)
