Results are in and sorry to say I won't be returning to the council table this term. Congratulations to all candidates. Needless to say I'm disappointed but I've learnt alot over the last 4 years and even learnt some things over the last 2 months. I am hoping the new council can work together for the benefit of the community and not their own interests. Nothing against new candidates but it will be a huge loss in experience and knowledge, not having Geoff Lovett and Chris Meddows-Taylor around the table. I wish everyone the best going forward.
Lastly, thank you again to the community who supported me. I may not have always made the popular decision but I always tried to put the community first. Who knows what the next 4 years will bring but for me in the short term, probably a few more dog walks πŸ˜ƒ

Unfortunately it doesn't look good sorry. There is still more votes to count but its unlikely that I'll make up the difference. I would like to thank all the people who have helped and supported me, not only over the election period but the whole council term. I won't say I'm not disappointed but that's democracy. I'll be watching closely and will continue to work with the amazing people I have worked with over the past 4 years on projects that have benefited our community.

Thank you to everyone who has offered support or encouragement and also thank you to the people that allowed me to have a sign in your front yard. I will keep you up to date with any information as I get it.
Thank you.

Just thought I'd do a video in response to some recent criticism around a post I made. Council is more than just the 3Rs.

Residents and Ratepayers often ask what is council doing about housing or doctors or even telecommunications. These are primarily state government areas but councils work in advocacy makes sure our communities voices are heard and state representatives have the right information.
There is also legislative requirements that council need to fulfil.
How can that continue if you're focused on the 3 R's?

I want to thank the The Maryborough District Advertiser for putting on todays q@a session as well as Kelvin Noonan for moderating the day. Thank you to all who attended and asked questions. Apparently I used the word tricky a bit too much so I apologise for that. Some questions such as having to pick one exciting thing....there have been so many it's difficult to narrow it down.
Anyway, thanks again and I hope everyone appreciated the candidates responses.

Our wedding anniversary is on October 17 and this year we celebrate 20 years. We have always run with a traditional theme for gifts and the traditional gift for 20 years is China. Our gift to us this anniversary is a trip to China. I will be back for the final week of the campaign and our final council meeting of this term. I appreciate everyone's support and understanding that we wish to celebrate our anniversary. I have never been out of Australia so this will definitely be an experience. See you tomorrow at the Q and A with the Addy.
