Maroubra Neighbourhood Children's Centre

Join us tomorrow at Bunnings Eastgardens for our first fundraiser of the year - Sausage Sizzle + Bake Sale!

Big thanks to David's Larder, Boulevard Bakery, The Cheesecake Shop Marboura Junction, Coles and South Maroubra Bakery for their generous donations. Think quality snags, fresh bakery rolls and the perfect sweet treat - quite possibly the fanciest sausage sizzle you’ll have all summer, while stocks last.

Every dollar supports our centre and the programs our children love. Bring a friend, say hello to our volunteers, and grab lunch or a take‑home treat. Please share this post to help local families find Maroubra Neighbourhood Children's Centre!

We’re proud to be the only centre in Randwick City Council with a Beach Kindy program - right in the heart of Maroubra Beach. Weekly excursions become living classrooms where children build confidence, curiosity and care for nature. Our sun‑safe practices and careful ratios keep learning by the sea calm and secure.

Come and see our space and talk to our team about your child’s start in early learning.

In the late 70s, a group of parents set out to create quality childcare. With state and federal funding, they secured our site and formed a cooperative that has guided Maroubra Neighbourhood Children's Centre ever since, blending trusted practice with fresh ideas.

What this means for your family:

• No external profit - children’s care, education and safety always come first.
• Surplus funds reinvested into educators, facilities, resources and programs.
• Often lower, more accessible fees for families.
• Volunteer parent committee ensures transparent, accountable spending.
• Parents and carers are directly involved in decision‑making, so the service reflects local needs, cultures and values.
• A strong sense of belonging that strengthens neighbourhood support networks.
