This week, Liz Finlayson celebrated an incredible milestone; 25 years of service with DECYP. For 17 of those years, Liz has been a valued teacher and leader at Margate Primary School, making a lasting difference to our school and wider community. Liz's vibrant personality, unwavering positivity, generous spirit, and genuine care for others make her truly special. She approaches every interaction with thoughtfulness and kindness, always putting students at the centre of her work while supporting and encouraging colleagues around her. Her passion for education, commitment to excellence, and dedication to helping every child thrive have left an enduring mark on countless young people and their families.
Over the years, Liz has inspired, nurtured, and guided generations of students, many of whom are no longer so young and still carry the benefits of her influence today. As both a teacher and leader, she has helped shape the culture of our school, building strong relationships and creating opportunities for others to succeed. Thank you, Liz, for your outstanding service to public education, your dedication to the MPS community, and your unwavering commitment to Margate Primary School, a place that has been so fortunate to have benefited from your talents, care, and leadership for so many years.
