Tig-le House is located in a quiet residential area in the town of Margaret River in the Southwest of Western Australia. We host regular mindfulness and meditation practices, dharma teachings, and retreats. Mindfulness is an ancient secular (non-religious) and sacred (deeply spiritual) practice combining the development of calm with insight. It is universal and global in nature, a valuable tool fo
r well-being, fostering resilience, peacefulness, inclusiveness, and deepening compassion in the world. Mindfulness trains the mind to become familiar with calm through awareness, observation, ethical engagement and response, and the building of comfort and friendship with the mind-body system. From this place of calm, insight into our true nature as human beings living within the world can arise into our awareness. Insight is the arising of question that allows for a deeper understanding of what it is to be human and alive. Insight into our true nature builds personal confidence and happiness leading to a freedom which enables us to engage compassionately and authentic in the world. Through compassion and respect for one's self and others we create a happier, healthier, just society contributing to the health of the world.
