The goal of wildlife rescue is never to keep them - it's to return them to the wild.
Sweetpea's journey began after rescue by Moreton Bay Koala Rescue, followed by expert treatment at Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. After rehabilitation and growing strong enough for independence, today Sweetpea climbed back into the trees where every koala belongs.

Julianne's journey home
•I rescued six-year-old Julianne from Montville suffering from cystitis and transferred her into the care of Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. After completing her treatment, she was cleared for release - and today I had the privilege of returning her to the wild.
Julianne was named during a Dancing With the Stars US-themed week, after judge Julianne Hough. Watching an adult koala head straight back into the bush is always a powerful reminder of why rescue and rehabilitation
