Congratulations Ella - we can’t wait to see the portraits!

We’re thrilled to announce our 2026 Three Faces Portrait Prize sitter — Ella Crathern, 2025 Mansfield Young Citizen of the Year.

And now we can reveal the three talented artists who will take on the challenge of creating Ella’s portrait:

Michelle Selway Lampard
Sandra Lording
Lucas Holland

Over the coming weeks, each artist will create their portrait of Ella in their chosen medium, with the completed works revealed at The Unveiling on Thursday 15 October.

The winning artist will receive the $2,000 Acquisitive Prize, proudly sponsored by Mansfield Shire Council, with the winning portrait becoming part of Council’s Three Faces collection.

Two runner-up artists will each receive $250.

Congratulations to Michelle, Sandra and Lucas — we can’t wait to see how each artist interprets Ella and her story!

And a very special thank you to Ella for agreeing to be our sitter and becoming the face of the 2026 Three Faces Portrait Prize.

Buller Ski Lifts has confirmed Sunday 6 September as the final day of lift operations for the 2026 snow season, marking the occasion by donating all lift ticket sale proceeds to the Mansfield Men's Shed.

The donation recognises the vital role the Men's Shed plays in our community, giving people a place to share skills, build friendships and support one another.

If you're heading up the mountain on Father's Day, your lift ticket purchase will contribute to a worthy local cause. The community (visitors included) is also invited to a village après gathering at Cattleman's Restaurant from 4–6pm to celebrate the season and thank everyone who made it happen.

A great initiative from Buller Ski Lifts, and a fitting way to close out the season.

Tree removal works will be taking place in Village Court tomorrow.
The trees are being removed following concerns raised by local residents to prevent further damage to surrounding infrastructure and will be replaced with a more appropriate species suited to the area.
Traffic management will be in place while the works are underway. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow the signage in place and the directions from crews onsite.
Thank you for your patience while these works are completed.

Expecting a little one?

This antenatal class is built specifically to give dads-to-be the practical tools and confidence they need to actively prepare themselves and support their partner through birth and step into those first newborn weeks feeling ready.

While this one is aimed at preparing dads-to-be, both expecting mums and dads are welcome to join.
