Last Friday, a fantastic group joined us at MACE for 𝗔𝗳𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮, enjoying an afternoon of delicious food, great company and plenty of laughs along the way.

Halima's classes have become some of our most popular programs, and it's easy to see why. Her warm, welcoming teaching style and incredible traditional recipes mean these sessions always fill fast!

☀️ 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

In January this year, MACE's new solar and battery system was officially commissioned as part of the 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱.

Several months on, we're already seeing the impact.

The project, delivered with funding support from AusNet, and installed by the team at Crowe Electrical, has strengthened MACE's capacity to operate as a community resilience hub while significantly reducing our ongoing energy costs.

For a community-owned not-for-profit organisation like MACE, lower operating costs mean more resources can be directed where they matter most - supporting education, training, early childhood services and community programs for local people.

The project also provides added benefits for our students, room hire clients and community groups who use our facilities. During power outages, the battery system helps maintain access to essential services and facilities, providing greater reliability and continuity for those who learn, meet and connect at MACE.

The project isn't just an investment in MACE - it's an investment in a more sustainable future for our community, helping reduce our environmental footprint while supporting the long-term sustainability of the services and programs local people rely on.

The Services Australia mobile office will be in Mansfield on Friday the 5th of June from 9:30am to 4pm on Highett Street, adjacent to the Courthouse.

They will then be in Bonnie Doon on Tuesday 9th of June on Bon Crescent, near the Post Office.

A digital platform is only as good as the people who look after it. When I designed the platform for Community Connect Mansfield, I knew I needed to find the perfect team to manage it long-term.

Enter MACE Neighbourhood House. 🤝

While I handled the design, development, and initial onboarding, MACE will be driving the ship and managing the platform day-to-day. They are the heartbeat of our community, which makes them the absolute perfect fit to run this hub.

Keep an eye on the page over the coming weeks as we roll out the official launch and start onboarding local groups!
