⭐️Support Your Local Community And Make A Difference⭐️

Silky Oaks Children’s Haven are raising funds to strengthen our local community services and the support that we provide to individuals and families in need.

Every ticket purchased in the Community Raffle directly contributes to building our capacity to care for our community, from keeping shelves stocked in the Community Pantry to training and supporting the volunteers who make our work possible.

You will also go in the draw to win some fantastic cash prizes thanks to Bayside Community Fund and Community Bank Wynnum-Manly

♻️ At Silky Oaks Op Shop, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.

This week, we were proud to deliver a bundle of generously donated blankets to Manly Road Vets to help keep our furry friends warm and comfortable. While these blankets weren’t quite right for our Op Shop floor, they were absolutely perfect for giving animals in care some extra comfort.

Finding thoughtful ways to redirect items ensures textiles stay out of landfill and continue serving a purpose, supporting both our environment and our local community 🐾♻️💙

Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting our Gifts of Giving Appreciation Morning Tea, a small way to say a very big thank you to the incredible partners, sponsors and local organisations who helped make our 2025 Gifts of Giving initiative such a success.

The morning tea was an opportunity to pause, reflect and celebrate the outcomes achieved and to acknowledge the vital role our supporters played in making it all possible. We are incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such compassionate and community minded individuals' and organisations who continue to walk alongside us.
