The town of Manjimup is a regional centre for the largest Shire in the South West of Western Australia. It possesses areas of ecological, historical, agricultural, commercial and industrial interest. Over eighty percent of the shire is composed of National Park and forestry. Our Vision is for the Shire of Manjimup to be safe, healthy, prosperous and attractive through sustainable improvement of services, facilities and infrastructure. 🌸 The first signs of wildflower season are appearing across the Southern Forests!

From vibrant orchids and delicate everlastings to striking banksias and wattles, the region is starting to burst into bloom. Whether you're exploring national parks, towering karri forests, or local nature reserves, there's a floral treasure waiting to be discovered.

📍 Top spots to explore:
• Greater Beedelup National Park
• Gloucester National Park
• Warren National Park
• Shannon National Park
• Local roadsides and reserves throughout the Southern Forests

🌿 Keep an eye out for:
• Donkey Orchids
• Spider Orchids
• Cowslip Orchids
• Banksias
• Native Wattles
• Triggerplants

Before you head out:
✅ Stay on designated tracks
✅ Carry water and wear suitable footwear
✅ Watch for snakes enjoying the spring sunshine

Opened on 11 October 1986 during the Manjimup Timber Festival, the Manjimup Heritage Park has welcomed locals and tourists alike for 40 years.

🌳𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗼𝗻!

Great news! The much-loved Coronation Park sign is ready to return following its restoration, with reinstatement works getting underway today.

Works are expected to take place from Thursday 10 September to Thursday 17 September. During this time, a small area around the sign and rose garden will be temporarily barricaded while the sign and supporting posts are carefully put back in place.

The toilets and surrounding footpaths will remain accessible throughout the works, so the community can continue to enjoy Coronation Park.

We’re excited to see this familiar feature return to the park and thank the community for your patience and support while the final stage of the restoration is completed. We look forward to seeing the Coronation Park sign back where it belongs! 🌿

Graphite Road update 🚧

Another important milestone for Graphite Road today, with sprayed chip sealing now underway.

And for anyone wondering - this isn't the finished road surface yet.

Asphalt works are scheduled for later this week, subject to weather, with line marking and signage to follow shortly after.

You may also notice temporary lips and gravel ramps at intersections and at the eastern and western ends of the work site. These are part of the staged works and are temporary.

Thanks for your patience while the works have progressed - we're pleased to see the project moving another significant step closer to completion.
