We’re delighted to present 𝑩𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 — an inspiring exhibition celebrating the beauty of the natural world through art.

Opening 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟕 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞, the exhibition features the captivating work of artists, 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐮𝐰𝐣𝐚𝐠𝐭 and 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐞, and will be on display until 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟑𝟏 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

This exhibition is particularly meaningful as it draws on the landscapes that surround us, both those we see every day and across our state, and invites us to view the familiar with fresh appreciation.

🌱 Help Bring Windy Harbour’s Coastal Dunes Back to Life! 🌱

Join us for a series of community planting days and help restore the Windy Harbour coastal dunes while creating valuable habitat for some very special local wildlife.

Together, we'll be planting a diverse range of native coastal species, including Hakea oleifolia and Melaleuca ringens, helping to strengthen the dune system and support the unique animals that call this coastline home.

🎨📚 What a fantastic day of visual storytelling yesterday! 📚🎨

We were thrilled to welcome Aśka to Manjimup and Pemberton to inspire students with the art of creating their own graphic novels🤩

The workshops were filled with creativity, laughter and plenty of budding storytellers bringing their ideas to life on the page.

A huge thank you to Aśka Storytelling, and to the wonderful teachers and students from:

🚨 Library Closed - Western Australia Day Public Holiday 🚨

Manjimup Public Library will be closed on Monday 1 June for the Western Australia Day Public Holiday. Resuming normal operating hours on Tuesday 2 June 2026 📚

Items can be returned through our after-hours chute, and our digital library is always open!

📚✨ What a wonderful day of reading, literacy and community! ✨📚

Yesterday, all of our libraries joined the National Simultaneous Storytime celebration, an event which has children and families across Australia all read the same story on the same day.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day so fun, from our wonderful families and enthusiastic little readers to the family centre staff and childcare educators who partnered with us. 💛

Events like these are a beautiful reminder of the joy that reading together can bring. 📖

We hope everyone loved listening to "𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫" and sharing in the magic of storytelling together.
We can’t wait for next year’s special story to be announced!

📚⚽🦘 Just 2 days to go until National Simultaneous Storytime 2026!

This Wednesday at 12:00pm AEST, millions of children, families, libraries, schools and early learning centres across Australia will come together to read Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller by Adam
Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, illustrated by Jake Minton and published by Little Book Press

This year’s NSS is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet (over 2 million readers and counting!) with exclusive Story Box Library content, resources from Twinkl Australia , Copyright Agency's Reading Australia, Vision Australia, CleverPatch, Little Book Press, Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, AssistiveWare and Key Word Sign.

Plus for the first time ever, the official NSS recording - featuring a reading from the Luna Roo authors, drawing demonstration by Jake Minton and hosted by one of Australia’s leading voices in football broadcasting Niav Owens - will be heading to SBS On Demand following the event.

📢 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 – 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐣𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐩 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 & 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲

Manjimup Library will be closed from 𝟐𝟔-𝟐𝟖 𝐌𝐚𝐲 for flooring works in the Art Gallery. While initially expected to be low impact, the grinding equipment required is significantly louder than anticipated and will be operating throughout the day during this period.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back from 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟐𝟗 𝐌𝐚𝐲! 📚✨

In the meantime, library items can continue to be returned via the after-hours chute, and National Simultaneous Storytime activities will proceed as planned at the Manjimup Family Centre.
