The Mangoplah community proudly came together to mark 100 years of history with a weekend of celebration and reflection.
Over 150 attendees gathered for the unveiling of three new Honour Boards, honouring the men and women who served our country.
A time capsule, buried by two of Mangoplah’s younger generation, Billy Higgins & Piper Quinell, a moment we can’t wait for future generations to rediscover. (if they can find it in 50 years!)
A very special moment of the day was the ceremonial cutting of the centenary cake by two of Mangoplah’s oldest citizens, Joyce Reynolds and Harold Dew, symbolising the strength and continuity of our community through the years. They also unveiled a new plaque celebrating 100 years of the Mangoplah Hall.
The celebrations continued at the Centenary Ball that night, with over 100 guests filling the hall for a night of laughter, dancing, and catching up with old friends. Music was played by local legends Tess and Ben Melton.
Sincere thanks are extended to the Mangoplah Centenary Committee for their dedication and effort in preparing the hall for the occasion, including many hours spent cleaning and painting. Gratitude is also extended to Riverina Paint Centre for their invaluable advice and support throughout the restoration.
Here’s to another 100 years of Mangoplah memories! 💚✨
