👧 Why do girls stop playing sport, and what can clubs do about it?

Due to high demand of the workshop, the Game On, Girls: Why Girls Drop Out webinar is giving more clubs the chance to hear from Monica Beazley and explore practical ways to help girls feel welcome, connected and supported in sport.

Whether you're a coach, volunteer, administrator or committee member, you'll come away with ideas to help create an environment where girls can thrive as players, leaders and lifelong participants.

Mark Lane's impact on surfing in WA and here in the Peel region will be felt for many years to come 💙 Our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and the surfing community.

PADDLE OUT FOR MARK LANE

This Saturday, August 29, we’ll come together at Scarborough Beach to celebrate the life of our CEO, colleague, mentor and friend, Mark “Laney” Lane after his recent passing.

Laney’s family, friends and the surfing community are invited to gather at Sunset Hill from 8am, before paddling out together in his memory.

Laney dedicated more than two decades to surfing, with his contribution and influence felt across WA, Australia and around the world. His passion, leadership and genuine care for the sport and its people will leave a lasting legacy.

A shout out to the Peel Regional Academy of Sport Athletes who attended the Butterfly Foundation BodyKind Sports workshop last week.

PRAS were extremely fortunate to host a series of three workshops with the Butterfly Foundation specifically targeting parents, coaches, and athletes. All delivering the BodyKind in Sport message and important education.

Fantastic to host The Butterfly Foundation last night who delivered their BodyKind Sports workshop to our scholarship athletes.

This covered a range of topics centered around body pressures, healthy eating, and promoting body kind behaviours, attitudes and language.

Thanks to Danni and the team for visiting us and delivering a valuable workshop to our athletes.
