Strengthening regional planning partnerships in Peel

The Peel Development Commission welcomed this week members of the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) and the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) to Mandurah for a regional planning discussion with representatives from all five Peel local governments.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss shared planning priorities and challenges across the region. Participants also explored opportunities for stronger regional collaboration and advocacy on issues of strategic importance to Peel.

The Commission welcomed the constructive engagement and exchange of ideas, and looks forward to continuing discussions with WAPC, DPLH and local governments to help unlock opportunities, coordinate advocacy efforts and support the sustainable growth of the Peel region.

Building a stronger future for Mandurah's children and families 👶📊

Thank you to everyone from across the early years sector who joined us for the Mandurah AEDC Data Workshop.

Facilitated by the Australian Child and Youth Wellbeing Atlas, the workshop explored Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) data and local child wellbeing indicators to better understand the strengths, challenges and opportunities for children and families in Mandurah.

The session brought together local service providers, community organisations and stakeholders to reflect on what the data is telling us, share on-the-ground insights and identify priority areas for collective action.

The workshop findings will help inform the development of the next Mandurah Early Years Action Plan, supporting a coordinated approach to improving outcomes for local children and families.
