💜 Looking for something fun, active and meaningful to do with your child each week?

GymbaROO is a 50-minute parent/carer and child movement and music class where children learn through play, movement, music and carefully planned activities designed to support their development.

Parents love GymbaROO because it gives children a chance to climb, balance, move, explore and build confidence — while giving parents ideas to better understand and support their child’s development.

And as the weather warms up, it’s a great way to keep little bodies active in air-conditioned comfort. ☀️

💜 Join us for BabyROO in Term 4! 💜

What is BabyROO? It’s a parent/carer and baby music and movement class, designed especially for your baby’s stage of development — while giving you plenty of ideas to continue at home.

👶 Platypus | 6 weeks – crawling
Our 30-minute classes include baby massage, tummy time, gentle movement, music and activities that support your baby’s developing body and brain.

🐾 Wombat | Crawling babies
As babies become mobile, our Wombat classes introduce exercises, music and games that encourage coordination and emerging movement milestones. Babies also have time to socialise and explore our larger gym equipment circuit with their parent or carer.

And BabyROO is for parents too! Meet other local families, learn more about your baby’s development and enjoy dedicated time together each week.

📍 Two centres:
Maitland: Monday–Saturday
Branxton: Tuesday–Friday
With a range of class times available across the week.

☀️ Heading into the warmer months, both centres are air-conditioned, so you and your baby can keep cool while getting active.

Term 4 enrolments are NOW OPEN! New families are very welcome. 💜

Enrol today by selecting your nearest centre, or phone us on 0403 390 227 for help finding the right BabyROO class for your baby.

This week in our BabyROO classes, we’re exploring the importance of music and rhythm for babies. 🎶💜

From the earliest months, babies are naturally drawn to sound, repetition and rhythm. Songs and rhythmic movement can help support listening and language development, body awareness, coordination, memory and anticipation — while also providing lots of opportunities for connection between babies and their parents.

At BabyROO, music isn’t simply something we add for fun. Through songs, action rhymes, movement, instruments and repeated rhythmic experiences, babies have opportunities to listen, move their bodies, respond to changes in sound and begin developing their own sense of rhythm.

You can find more about music and rhythm and why we use it in our program on your Parent Portal this week.

💜 Term 4 enrolments are now open to new families!

Our BabyROO program includes:
Platypus — for babies from around 6 weeks to crawling
Wombat — for our crawling babies

With classes across two centres — Maitland and Branxton — we’d love to welcome you and your baby in Term 4.

Do you have a child starting school in 2027 or 2028? 💜

School readiness is about so much more than knowing letters, numbers or being able to write their name. Before children step into a classroom, they’re building the physical, social and emotional foundations that help them participate confidently in a day of learning.

At GymbaROO, our School Readiness program uses movement, music and purposeful play to give children opportunities to develop skills such as:

💜 Listening, following instructions and remembering sequences
💜 Balance, coordination and body awareness
💜 Confidence and independence
💜 Concentration and attention
💜 Taking turns and participating in a group
💜 Emotional regulation and social skills
💜 Gross and fine motor foundations that support classroom tasks

Through climbing, balancing, rhythm, movement activities, games and group experiences, children practise using their bodies and brains together — building skills they can draw on as they transition to school.

If school is on the horizon for your little one, Term 4 is a great time to join us — and it’s not too late!

This week in our BabyROO classes, we’re chatting about body awareness. 💜

But what is body awareness, and why is it so important for babies?

Body awareness is a child’s developing understanding of their body — where it is in space, where one body part ends and another begins, and how those different parts can move.

From birth, babies build this internal “map” of their body through touch, movement and sensory experiences. As that map develops, it supports important skills including balance, coordination, movement control and motor planning.

At BabyROO, we provide lots of sensory-motor experiences that help babies discover their bodies. Massage, tummy time, rolling, reaching, crawling, creeping and moving through different positions all send valuable sensory information to the developing brain.

💜 Sensory-motor experiences help develop body awareness — and every little movement counts!

Want to learn more? Enrolled families can find further information about body awareness in your Parent Portal.

If you haven’t received a timetable yet for next term because you’ve been away don’t forget to ask for one or head onto your portal to see Term 4 Classes and availability to re-enrol.
