Could your child be missing important sounds that help them learn, communicate and thrive? Speech delays, unclear speech, ear infections, or ignoring their name may point to a hearing issue.

To help local families identify potential concerns early, Mackay Hospital and Health Service (HHS) has launched a free Community Hearing Screening Clinic for children aged nine months to 16 years.

The community Hearing Screening clinic is held at Kem Kem Yanga, 25-29 Evans Avenue, Noth Mackay. The screening is free and doesn’t require a doctor’s referral.

Parents who have concerns about their child’s hearing or speech, can book an appointment directly by calling 4885 7600 or emailing [email protected]

❤️ A shout-out to the teachers and aides for their efforts in helping the day run smoothly and our leadership for putting in the effort leading up to the day.
