✨👶 Bounce, giggle, repeat! 👶✨
What a beautiful morning in the Pioneer Valley! 💛 Miss Jess welcomed a full house of little learners (and their grown-ups!) to Baby Bounce at Mirani Library and wow, what a turnout! So many new faces joined our regulars, filling the space with smiles, songs, and snuggly moments.

We might officially call it a session… but Monday at Dudley Denny City Library felt more like a “pram jam” 🎶a joyful gathering of bouncing babies and busy prams! 🚼🎶 and to bookmark the week, check out these snaps from Story Time!

Through rhymes, rhythm, and play, our First 5 Forever programs help build those all-important early literacy skills, all while having an absolute blast. And judging by the giggles, we definitely delivered on the fun!

If you haven’t joined us for a session yet, come along to your local branch next time, we’d love to see you and your little one there!

🎨✨ Creativity and life long learning in full swing at Gordon White Library!

Young artists took part in a hands-on painting workshop with professional artist Kate Kennedy 👩‍🎨 From blending colourful backgrounds to creating vibrant flowers, each participant explored imagination, built confidence, and discovered the joy of artistic expression 💡🌈

Best of all, everyone headed home with their very own masterpiece 🖼️💖

Thanks for kicking reading goals with us in May! ⚽📖

We celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime and transformed our children’s area with a soccer-inspired reading nook, the perfect place for little readers to score a quiet moment with a great story. Did you read Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller?

We’ll see you again soon to find your next reading adventure.

Feeling the sting of rising fuel prices? ⛽ Mackay has seen it all before!

During World War II, when petrol was strictly rationed, one local taxi driver got a little… inventive. Swapping horsepower for horse power, they ditched the engine and hitched up a real horse instead! 🐴🚕

Talk about thinking outside the tank!

✨ Voices of yesterday at Dudley Denny City Library ✨

What a fantastic morning celebrating Celtic culture with our community!

Daphne captivated the group with rich insights into Celtic traditions, including the story behind the Black Watch (hunting tartan) and the vibrant dress tartans. We also learned about traditional attire, did you know a kilt refers specifically to men, while women wear a kilted skirt?

Adding a personal touch, Daphne shared her Clan Munro pin and its significance, sparking great conversations around family heritage and identity.

The session came alive as participants shared words and sounds from Irish, Welsh and Scottish languages, creating a truly immersive and interactive experience. 🌿

Thank you to everyone who joined us—these moments of learning, sharing and connection are what make libraries so special.

👉 Stay tuned for our next Voices of Yesterday session! 👇🏼
