๐Ÿƒ ๐Ÿฃ Planning a bushwalk or hike this Easter long weekend? ๐Ÿฃ ๐Ÿƒ

Make sure you're ready to enjoy Queensland's stunning outdoors safely. Whether you're exploring lush rainforests, rugged trails or scenic lookouts, remember these essential tips:

โœ… Be prepared for all conditions: check the weather, pack plenty of water, snacks and a first aid kit.

โœ… Walk with a friend: it's safer and more fun to share the adventure.

โœ… Know your limits: choose a trail that matches your fitness and experience level.

โœ… Share your plans: let someone know where you're going and when you'll be back.

Let's make this Easter memorable for all the right reasons. Stay safe, Queensland.

๐Ÿ”ถContinuing the Legacy๐Ÿ”ถ

In Part 2 of our SES 50th anniversary series, we hear from members who are continuing the legacy built by those who came before them.
These volunteers may not be our newest members, but they are not the longest serving either. They represent the strong middle of our organisation.
This video shares their experiences, why they volunteer, and what keep them coming back.

๐ŸŽฌ To celebrate 50 years of SES, we sat down with some of our longest serving members from the Whitsunday, Isaac and Mackay units to hear their stories, memories, and what SES has meant to them over the years.

Their experiences helped shape the units we know today, and their dedication is something we are incredibly proud of.

Watch Part 1 of our anniversary series and hear from the volunteers who have been there through decades of storms, rescues, training, and supporting their communities.

๐ŸงกThank you to everyone who has worn the orange over the past 50 years.
