Community supporting community 💙

A big thank you to Mackay West Rotary for their incredibly generous donation of $5,000 to Mackay Community Visitors Association.

This funding will go directly towards replacing our computers, which are now over 11 years old. Updating our technology will help us continue to provide efficient, reliable support to the people in our community who rely on our services.

We are truly grateful for Rotary’s ongoing commitment to supporting local organisations and strengthening our community.

Together, we are making a real difference.

Today MCVA Clients got together for morning tea at the Ocean International Hotel to "Celebrate and Connect" for Seniors Month.

Thank you to all who attended, thanks to COTA Queensland for the funding and special thank you to Bernadette Maloney from GSL and Melissa from Footprints for their sharing of important information.

Huge thanks to M&P Services (QLD) Pty Ltd for the donation raised at their Charity Golf Day!
This is the third year that M&P have chosen MCVA as a benefactor🙂 and they have confirmed that we will be involved again next year😎👍

We were so happy to hand over Mackay Community Visitors Association’s share of the funds raised from the M&P Services – Key Solutions Group Charity Golf Day. 🏌️‍♀️💚

MCVA do incredible work supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community — providing friendship, social connection, and advocacy for people who may be isolated or living in care. 🤝🌸

The funds raised will help MCVA continue their visiting programs and volunteer outreach, bringing companionship and a sense of belonging to those who need it most. 💙

It was a great day at the MRC Volunteer Expo. I am hoping some of the people we spoke to will join MCVA. We have so many lonely residents in out local aged care facilities', it so sad.

MCVA was lucky to have a staff member, Michelle and two of the committee on hand yesterday, to talk to people about the difference they could make in someone else's life.

MCVA is still in desperate need of volunteers. Please help change the life of a resident in our aged care facilities by visiting and establishing a friendship.
