Behind every response is preparation. 🚒🔥
Our crews are constantly training, and refining our skills to be ready for whatever comes our way.
From drills to equipment checks, every detail matters when it comes to keeping our community safe.
We’re proud of the dedication our firefighters show every day — always improving, always ready.

Permits no longer required. However you're still legally required to notify the RFS and your neighbours 24 hours prior to lighting 🔥

Today, 31 March, marks the end of the statutory Bush Fire Danger Period (BFDP) for the majority of NSW including Mid Coast and Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA.

While many landholders may no longer require a fire permit, you are still required to notify the RFS and your neighbours of your intention to burn at least 24 hours before lighting the fire.

For more information on the bush fire danger period and fire permits, visit the website: www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/BFDP

We’re proud to share that our brigade is among the first in our district to have Starlink installed on board our truck!🚒🛰️

This major upgrade ensures that during disasters or phone outages, our vehicle can maintain reliable communications — helping us coordinate responses and continue supporting our community when it matters most.

Even better, Starlink will allow us to provide a community communication access point, giving everyone the ability to contact family and loved ones to let them know they are safe.

Another step forward in keeping our community connected, informed, and supported.

Not every day at the station involves sirens and smoke 🚒🔥

Sometimes it’s boots on the ground, tools in hand, and a bit of good old-fashioned maintenance!

Yesterday the crew has been busy sprucing up the station surrounds — keeping access paths clear, maintaining safety around the building, and making sure everything is in top shape for when we’re needed most.
It might not be as dramatic as fighting fires, but this behind-the-scenes work is just as important in keeping our brigade response-ready.

A big thanks to our volunteers who give their time not just during emergencies, but also to keep our station safe, tidy, and prepared year-round 👏

Thanks to all those that helped out.
