🌈☀️ Lockridge Primary School – Wellbeing & Family Picnic Expo 2026! 💚

We are excited to welcome our families to our Wellbeing and Family Picnic Expo this Friday, 30 October! 🎉

Come along for a wonderful afternoon celebrating positive mental health, wellbeing, friendship and community connection!

🧺 Family Picnic: 1:00pm – 1:30pm

Bring along a picnic blanket and some lunch to enjoy with your children on the school grounds.

🎨 Wellbeing Expo Activities: 1:30pm – 2:45pm

There will be plenty of fun activities for students and families to enjoy, including:

💃 Dance and fitness games

💛 Friendship bracelet making

🧘 Yoga and mindfulness

🎤 Karaoke

🌈 Gratitude pinwheels

🎨 Mindful colouring and chalk mural art

🤝 Community stalls and local support services

We are also fortunate to have a range of wonderful local organisations joining us to share information, resources and support for our families.

💚 A Few Important Reminders:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The whole family is welcome! Younger siblings and little ones are more than welcome to join in the fun. We kindly ask that parents and carers keep a close eye on their younger children and supervise them throughout the event.

🏫 A Locko-only event! While we love seeing our past students, high school students are expected to attend their own school during school hours. This event is for our current Lockridge Primary School students and their families.

This is a fantastic opportunity to come together as a school community, connect with others and celebrate the importance of looking after our mental health and wellbeing. 💚

We can't wait to see everyone there for a fun-filled afternoon! 🌻

🌟 We hope everyone has had a wonderful and relaxing school holiday break! 🌟

Our staff will be back tomorrow, Monday 12th October, for a School Development Day, getting everything ready for another fantastic term ahead.

📚 Students return on Tuesday 13th October, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back to school for an exciting Term 4!

📚 The September School Holiday Reading Challenge is almost here!

We are inviting all students to read for 10 nights over the school holidays and record their reading on the challenge sheet with a parent/carer signature.

Each student who participates will earn 10 High Standards tokens and a special surprise early next term!

Challenge sheets will be sent home this week. If a form is misplaced, simply send the reading record to your child's teacher via Seesaw or write the details on a separate piece of paper and return it to school.

👉 We encourage all families to set aside just 10-15 minutes each day to read together, listen to your child read, or share a story. Your support makes a huge difference and helps build a lifelong love of reading. Let's see if we can make this our biggest Reading Challenge yet!

The P&C Little Library will be open tomorrow morning and afternoon should students wish to take home a holiday reading book to get them started.

Don’t forget to bring a gold coin donation, with all funds going towards the Year 6 Camp.
