Investigating Avocado’s 🥑

The children in the Wombat Room at Oberon have been investigating vegetables, by reading stories and asking questions we have been learning all about types of vegetables and how they grow! 🌽

An educator had bought in an avocado seed that is ready for propagation for the children to watch grow! 🌱

Children made observations saying how the seed is yellow,smooth and hard! And even tried drawing pictures of the seed, stem and leaf! 🌿

The Wombat Room at Oberon have been loving the Very Cranky Bear book!

We this interest by creating a collage bear, using paddle pop sticks for the fantastic stripes, yellow yarn for the golden mane and pipe cleaners for the marvellous antlers! ✨

We then used this same objects for our play dough so the children can make their own Cranky Bears! 🐻

Galloping Gumnut Early Childhood Education is looking for qualified Educators to join our Mobile Service on a casual basis! 🌱✨

With the flexibility to work across our three venues in Oberon, O’Connell and Perthville, this is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a passionate team dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can play, learn and thrive. 🧡

👩‍🏫 We’re looking for Educators who:
~ Hold a current Working With Children Check
~ Have a relevant qualification or are working towards one
~ Hold current National Child Safety Training
~ Can provide at least two referees
~ Are committed to ongoing professional development
