UPCOMING ROADWORKS: BOATHARBOUR ROAD

Council wishes to inform the community of upcoming pavement (road) resurfacing works and associated temporary access changes on Boatharbour Road from 16-20 June.

To keep road users and crews safe, the road will be closed to through traffic at changing locations, for variable periods of time between 9:00am and 3:00pm. Traffic measures will also be in place outside these hours, with delays of up to 15 minutes at a time.

Work zones will move along Boatharbour Road between Alexander Lane and McKinnon Road, with detour signage in place. Private property access will be maintained.

Today is World Environment Day, and we’re sorry to break it to you, but even ‘earthy’ looking so-called ‘compostable’ packaging is no good for your green bin or your recycling bin. And they create CO2 emissions in landfills. They don’t compost in a landfill.

The best options for the planet and your wallet are reusable products, like washable coffee cups and containers.

The video is a great demonstration.

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: MEET LOLA! 🐾

The team at the Lismore City Council Rangers has a special girl who is officially looking for her forever home. Meet Lola, a beautiful 3-year-old Mastiff cross with a heart as big as her paws!

Lola is the definition of "pure joy." She is incredibly excitable, wonderfully playful, and has a goofy, happy-go-lucky personality that will keep you smiling all day long. If you are looking for a couch potato, Lola might not be your girl, but if you’re looking for a fun-loving adventure buddy, she is perfection.

Because Lola is a big, strong girl with heaps of energy, she has a couple of requests for her new home:

👉 Room to Zoom: Lola would suit a property with plenty of open space or a large, securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and burn off her signature zoomies.
👉 Active Companions: She loves to play! An active owner who can commit to daily walks, playtime, and ongoing training to help channel her excitement would be a perfect match.

Ready to meet Lola? If you have the space in your heart (and your backyard) for this lovely lady, please contact the Lismore City Council Rangers to arrange a meet-and-greet with Lola.

Adoption Fee: $426.50
