Our 1/2 and 3/4 students thoroughly enjoyed their sessions on Tuesday. Love your work!
Tuesdayβs weaving workshop at Lindenow Primary School was full of beautiful moments, gentle reflections, and reminders of how much our children need calm, connection, and space to simply be. πΏ
We spent the morning guiding the children through harakeke weaving, creating putiputi and stars, watching their hands and hearts settle into the rhythm of making.
We also shared a Koko (hot chocolate) ceremony, which was such a grounding way to end our time together. Koko helps settle the nervous system, encourages presence, warms the tinana (body) and gives children a moment of stillness before returning to their day. Itβs a simple act, but it brings a deep sense of comfort, connection, and mindfulness.
Workshops like this remind me how important it is to create soft spaces for our kids, places where they feel safe, seen, and free to express themselves.
Thank you to the school for inviting us in and to the children whose creativity and courage made the morning so special. Your putiputi were beautiful. π€
