Blacking out yesterday at the Longwood fires in our patch. Our brigade has been on the go, crewing up and responding everyday since Friday so when other crews give up their time to help, it really makes a difference. A huge shout out to Flowerdale Fire Brigade, Glenburn CFA, Murrindindi & Woodbourne Rural Fire Brigade, Kinglake CFA and Strath Reedy Creek CFA for stepping up and we are grateful for the support from all the other brigades over the last few days. Honorable mentions to fire firefighters Scout (Limestone) the hairiest member checking on spot fires and Captain Waddles (Kinglake)… who didn’t do much tbh... but did lift the vibes :) Thanks all!
