Refugee Week reminds us that Australia is made up of a million stories, each one shaped by courage, culture and connection.

A short documentary and an original music video created by a group of multilingual young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds at Aranmore Catholic College Intensive English Centre in Leederville will launch this Refugee Week on ABC iView, showcasing their voices, creativity and lived experiences.

Their stories, grounded in lived experience and local neighbourhoods, add rich new voices to our diverse Vincent community.

Have you had your say yet? 🚸

We're reviewing how local traffic safety concerns are assessed and prioritised across Vincent and we'd love to hear your thoughts.

Our draft Local Area Traffic Management Policy will help guide decisions about road safety improvements using evidence such as traffic volumes, speed data, crash history and safety assessments. It also helps ensure funding is directed to the areas with the highest documented safety needs.

If you live, work, walk, ride or drive in Vincent, we encourage you to share your feedback.

Visit Imagine Vincent to learn more: https://imagine.vincent.wa.gov.au/latm-policy

Consultation closes 4pm Monday, 15 June.

Our annual planting season kicked off last week🌳

We’ll be planting 500 trees across our neighbourhoods from late May to October.

From eucalyptus to melaleuca, we’ve got a range of native and climate-friendly species ready to be planted.

Plus, residents that purchase and plant their own native trees may also qualify for the WA Government’s $150 Treebate program.
