Get a snake call out and inform them that there is a small fee. Then because he doesn’t want to pay they try and say if a kid gets bitten it’s on me. Get fu**ed, you think we aren’t going to charge a small fee for our time, fuel to travel there and to release the snake, also to handle something that’s venomous that you don’t want in your garden hence why you called a snake catcher!

One of the callouts today was bird netting which is a pain in the ass. Massive thank you to the owner of the house for helping me with the tricky process of getting the netting off. Snake is in good condition only a few roughed up scales, he will stay with me for a couple of days to get rehydrated and have a feed then he will be back out in the bush well away from any houses.

Call out today to a nice sized tiger unfortunately he had severe injuries and had to be put to sleep. Massive thank you to Sally at Mowbray Veterinary Clinic who is always happy to help out with injured reptiles. If anyone is looking for a veterinary clinic I highly recommend the team there they genuinely care about your pets and all animals 🐍

Hey all, as most would be aware yesterday an absolute tragedy occurred where a man was fatally bitten by an eastern brown snake here in Townsville. Firstly Id like to offer my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of this man. My heart is so heavy and im devastated that this event occured.

Ive had my phone absolutely blown up after this news come to public light and I appreciate all the messages of concern.

I respectfully ask all media that have been calling me relentlessly to please seize doing so, I respectfully do not wish to comment further on this tragedy and respect for the family needs to be of highest consideration.

Snakes are very mis understood animals that require the upmost of respect. We as snake catchers are doing all we can to promote rules and regulations to minimise as much public interference with these animals as we can. I dont wish to go into to much detail considering the heartbreaking tradgedy but just wish to very vaguely highlight that catching any snake without the correct permits and training can have devastating consequences. Please please do not engage with anyone who isnt a licensed professional, regardless of any potential backyard experience or passion for reptiles. call a trusted proven licensed catcher for any reptile relocation work. We have the skills, training and expert snake bite first aid knowledge and equipment to deal with any potential accidents we as catchers may face.

This event has taken a heavy toll on me based on a few circumstances with this incident. I will continue to do all in my power to educate and spread awareness to our community and beyond to minimise any potential tragedys.

My condolences again go out to all loved ones, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

An eye opener for the next person who thinks a small fee is unreasonable read this. Snake catchers remove snakes that most people won’t go anywhere near. We remove them from your property because you don’t want them there. We travel using our own fuel. We ultimately are catching an animal that can kill with the tiniest drop of its venom!
Yes we do it because we love snakes and reptiles but we also need to cover our costs fuel, time and also rehabilitating injured snakes as well. We drop what we are doing when called to come and remove something you don’t want in your yard, so next time you carry on about a small fee think about why you called us in the first place! 🐍😊

Anyone working in an office in or around Broadland Drive(behind Kmart) keep an eye out I got this guy out of an office just now. Snakes are finding their way into air conditioned buildings to escape the heat(just like me😂)
