Jude's Café at Tailrace Jude’s Café is more than a café. It’s a place where people gather, conversations happen, and good is multiplied. Open 8:30am - 3pm, Tuesday - Sunday.

Every coffee poured supports local youth programs across our community. We are kids, mums, dads, grandpa's, grandma's, aunts, uncles and teenagers...we are united in wanting to come to the table to eat good and to enjoy life at the table. We want to giggle and laugh and enjoy life. We want to tell the people we love that breakfast is at 9 and lunch is at 12 and we're up for anything in between. We

want our littles to have fun on the playground whilst we read that book, or have a chat with our friend. We want to gaze at the amazing view and give thanks for this amazing life that we get to live. We want to pass our joy and love onto others by giving a $1 from every meal to one of the following causes:
Shine - building self esteem in teenage girls in our local schools
Empart - Empowering women to have their own business in India, releasing them from the cycle of poverty. Syria - Supporting the refugees crisis
Be Her Freedom - releasing people all around the world from slave trafficking. We want to inspire love and romance once a month with our famous Date Night. 3 hours of uninterrupted conversation with the ones you love whilst your kids are looked after on site. So we hope you come and enjoy our little cafe.

As our Operations Manager, Caleb is often behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly. But over the last few weeks, he's taken on a brand-new role—Dad

We're excited to welcome little Leyton to the Jude's family.

For Caleb and Rachael, these past few weeks have been filled with all the joys (and sleepless nights!) that come with welcoming a new baby. And judging by this photo, his big cousin is already taking his responsibilities very seriously.

At Jude's, we're passionate about seeing young people flourish, but that journey starts long before the teenage years. It begins in homes, families, relationships, and communities that help children grow, belong, and thrive.

We're grateful for Caleb, the heart he brings to our team, and the family he's building and that he chooses to raise his son in a beautiful village.

At Jude's Cafe, we're part of a movement working towards a different future. A future where Launceston becomes the healthiest city for young people in Australia.

We always smile when our older guests ask for their coffee extra hot. ☕️
Today, on just our second day of winter, no matter how hot we made the coffee, the café still felt cold!

After 19 years of continuous service, our heaters have decided they need a little tender loving care. So tomorrow, the team from Super Heat will be installing a brand-new air conditioning system in Jude's Café.

The good news is that the coffee machine will be on, and our front fridge will be stocked with all your favourite slices, scones, and toasties. However, our kitchen will be closed for the day while the installation takes place.

Thank you for your patience as we make Jude's Café a warmer and more comfortable place for everyone this winter. ❤️
