Thank you to everyone who donated to the Fund raising event on Sunday. What a great event it was!
Thank you to Wayne Manion from Wayne Manion Plumbing for completing the shave for me.
Thank you also to the other participants, especially Mason Keane and Logan Barnett. I admire you both for donating your hair to such a great cause, well done.

Good evening everyone

Thank you to all that have donated so far to our head shaving fund-raiser this Sunday for Speak Up Stay Chatty.

I wanted to mention that I have become involved in the event after being asked to particiate by a very good friend of mine Mason Keane who started the fund-raiser a couple of months ago.

It's not all about just getting our heads shaved. Along with the fundraising side of things there is something else very important on the day which is taking place.

Mason has been growing his hair for some years now and along with his sister Logan Barnett - Co Founder of the Go Company, they have made the incredible decision to donate their hair to a great cause called Hair with Heart, which is a national fund raising and hair donation programme run by Variety - The Children's Charity.

Their hair will go towards being made into wigs for children who have lost their hair due to a long term medical condition.

All the more reason to get behind this and donate.

I am proud to stand alongside them and support what they have started.
Let's spread the word, get people talking and make it a great afternoon.

Regards Joe Pentridge

Shave the Stigma The time has come for a new hairstyle — so let’s do it for a cause. I’ll be shaving my head to help shave the stigma around mental health, and of course, I’ll be donating my hair as p

Good evening everyone

I am a late starter but this coming Sunday the 26th of April I am going to be doing something different.

As most of you know I am not one to shy away from a challenge and I can assure you I have already had a few people say they don't think I've got the "balls to do it"!

I am going to be putting it on the line, along with some other great people and having my head shaved to raise money for mental health, the charity, Speak Up Stay Chatty.

This cause is a bloody important one, too many people, blokes in particular keep things bottled up and it's time we all got better at speaking up and looking out for each other.

Truth be told I do get up most mornings and even give myself a kiss in the mirror!
But if me losing my hair can help spark a few conversations and raise some funds, then it's well worth it and I know most of you will disagree, but I do think I'll be just as good looking without it!

It will be a live shave at the Boathouse Launceston between 2pm and 4pm.

If you would like to get behind me and the other participants we would really appreciate your support and any donation you can make will be very appreciated.

To donate the link is below. If not that's ok, but you are still welcome to come along on Sunday, even just for a beer and a chat.

It is important we reach out to others, even the ones we don't know so well, to encourage conversation when we sense they are doing it tough.

Thank you for your support and remember if you need someone to chat to my door is always open.

Regards

Joe Pentridge
