If you asked our Crews 'What's the most dangerous thing you do?' you might be expecting answers like Bushfires or Structure Fires.

But the truth is more likely to be this. Roadside Incidents.

Vehicle accidents, grass fires and structure fires often require us to work on or adjacent the road. The speed limit past emergency service vehicles with lights flashing is 25kmh.

We've seen the whole spectrum of poor driver behaviour on the road. Drivers attempting to film accidents on their phones, drivers speeding through incidents at 110kmh and those who drive on the footpath or verge because they think the road closure doesn't apply to them. All these behaviours put our crew at risk.

We need you to have our back.

While we're busy working on the incident we've responded to, collecting equipment from the trucks and rolling out hoses we need you to slow down, watch out for crews working on or near the road, and drive safely.
