Huff'n'puff 2026 done !!!

Several brigades supported this fun event with road closures to keep participants safe.

Looks like we need to work on our time next year. A thank you to drivers for their patience and runners/walkers for giving us a wave 👋

Members in action updating their tree trimming and tree felling certifications.
Safety while using, and being around chainsaws is paramount as it can be one of the hardest jobs on the fireground.
This skill is core to our storm assistance operations and fire fighting operations.
Interested in undertaking these types of roles? We are currently recruiting members for these and all operational roles.

🔥 Fire Permit Reminder 🔥
Planning on lighting up? Make sure you’re doing the right thing to keep everyone safe.
✔️ Obtain the required permit from your local council
✔️ Notify RFS before you burn 👉🏼 https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/notify
✔️ Check weather conditions and fire danger ratings
✔️ Always have water and equipment ready
✔️ Notify your neighbours🙋‍♂️

Permits help ensure burns are conducted safely and reduce the risk of fires getting out of control.

If in doubt, reach out to your local brigade for advice. Stay safe and responsible 👍

Day 3 of the Hazard Reduction, and we are in Patrol Status. That means there is an active crew on site checking the perimeter of the fire for any spot overs or trees down. You may see the helicopter up and around (although the wind might ground it) and nswrfs and npws crews on the ground. There will be smoke coming from within the burn as expected.
If you see active fire (not just smoke) outside the burn area indicated in the map call 000
